Orlando: The Ultimate 8 Fun Things to do

Orlando, the heaven for someone who loves theme parks. However, guess what?! There’s more to it than just a land of famous theme parks!( We will be posting a blog about it soon) Although there are many other fun and interesting things to do in Orlando, I listed out those that had interested me.

Watch my Video below to Find out How much Fun we had in Orlandoooo city!

1. Shopping

Orlando is literally a shopping heaven. There are so many factory outlets all over the city. These factory outlets have seasonal sales that may have a discount of 60% off the original outlet price which is already really cheap! Check out my blog on shopping in Orlando.

2. Fun Spot America

Unlike the world famous Universal Studios and Disney World, Fun Spot America is a much smaller scale and affordable family theme park. It allows one to pay per ride or have an unlimited day pass. However do note that it doesn’t include the thrilling sky coastal ride that allows one to experience free fall!

There are two Fun Spot America’s in Orlando. For a greater variety of rides and a better view of Orlando skyline, i would recommend 5700 Fun Spot Way, Orlando, FL 32819. The other one being 2850 Florida Plaza Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34746.

One day pass:

Online $40.95(RETAIL $45.95) ( Do note that guests under 54 inches tall will receive a E-card with a credit of $10 to spend in the park )

Pay Per Ride:

Most rides ranges from $6-9.

Sky Coaster costs $40 each for single riders, $35 each for double riders, $30 each for triple riders.

There are many fun rides available for all ages. For a thrilling ride, you should definitely try the Sky Coaster! It swings you down from one tower to another, allowing you to experience free fall. It looked really scary and thus, we decided to go for 4 rides included in the pass instead.

We chose Flying Bobs, Screaming Eagles, Go-Kart and Rock Star Coasters. These are less thrilling but we still enjoyed our time in Fun Spot! Screaming Eagles make you go round and round just above the waters! Rock Star Coasters though very jerky, allows you to have a full view of Fun Spot America and America’s beautiful sky! (We rode it twice) Flying Bob goes forward and backwards at an increasing speed, we got really dizzy at the end of it. Look at my sister’s head swaying side to side!

Go-Kart, probably the most popular ride in Fun Spot, was really fun as we had the chance to race against each other and obviously I won hehe!

3. Wonder Works

A place where only imagination can take us. It had really amazed me; it has so many cool and fun things to play and at the same time so educating. It’s a good place for people of all age. Wonder Works is an upside down house, slightly tilted to the side. As weird and dangerous as it may seem, it’s definitely safe in the house. It offers so many things to play with including laser tag, 4D motion movie and also challenging glow in the dark rope course and many more! (Do note that for the rope course, no skirts and dresses are allowed and only closed toed shoes are allowed)

Cost: Adult $31.94    Child (3-12) $25.55

Address: 9067 International DriveOrlando, FL 32819

Parking: There’s a multi-storey carpark just beside Wonder Works but it’s a little expensive. If you are willing to walk across the street, there’s free parking. (Most people parks there)

4. The Cirque Magique Dinner Show

This show is a great way to spend time with your family and friends. This show performed by magicians, clowns, acrobats and performing puppies from all around the world will definitely bring about fun, joy and laughter while having a full course dinner and an ice cream.

Cost: Adult $76.63    Child (3-12) $48.40

Do note that this dinner show is only on Friday and Saturday at 5:00 pm; Sunday at 3:30 pm.

Reservation at least 1 day before is required. Reservation lines are open daily, 8:30 am-9:00 pm.

Although there were many other dinner shows but this dinner show really caught our eyes. It was really unfortunate that we couldn’t attend it because we couldn’t make a reservation and we had to leave the very next day.

5. The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show

Since we weren’t able to go for the Cirque Magique Dinner Show, we tried our luck and went over to Wonder Works. This dinner show is conveniently located and it turns out that they were able to accommodate our last minute decision!

The dinner show provides unlimited salads, hand tossed pizza of 2 different types, Pepperoni and Margarita and also a sweet brownie served with ice cream for dessert.

The show was a little boring at the start but as it progressed, it was spectacular, funny and amazing! It’s way cheaper than the other dinner shows available so do try it the next time you are in Orlando. We also managed to make some new friends while we were there!

Cost: Adult $31.94    Child (3-12): $21.29

Address: 9067 International Drive Orlando, FL 32819

Parking: There’s a multi-storey carpark just beside Wonder Works but it’s a little expensive. If you are willing to walk across the street, there’s free parking. (Most people parks there)
